I am happy to announce Emily Troutman Photo to the world wide web! Emily and I have been working very hard to get her a good representation of her and her work on the web. Now she finally has a strong web presence! This is also my first website design that has hit the online realm! I believe it turned out great! Thanks to Emily and square space. If you're in need of some new and fresh photos please check out my wife's work! She is amazing!

Troutman Photo & Design

It's been a long process, but I finally came up with a logo for my wife's Photo business. To be honest, putting your wife into a logo is a very difficult task. I think it turned out well, she likes it, and now we're on with creating a website. It's truly an exciting time at the Troutman house!

A new Ogletown Sermon series slides. I was trying to keep it simple with not going overboard on all the Christmas cliches.

Another Sermon series design finished! I tried to stay away from all the cliches!

Here is a Christmas concert poster I worked up for the local boy scout. They need something for the Kingsmen Quartet Christmas Concert that is being held at Ogletown. Get tickets here.

Living in 2 worlds

It's been a while since I've posted a new post. Sorry to all those who follow. Here are a few different slides I created for the new Ogletown sermon series.

This is my first job that I've created for . They wanted me to create a bulletin cover piece and some sermon slides for Crossroads Church . The theme for the sermon series is "new year's k.i.s.s.". The pieces turned out well and the clients loved my work. This project was a lot of fun and I enjoyed this opportunity!

Here is another slide group that I created for Ogletown and it'll be used for their Christmas services. The sermon title "light and life" gave me many creative solution ideas. But being Christmas, I had to make it festive and make it fit the season. Sometimes that can be a challenge without falling into the normal cliche solutions. I think the slide turned out well! It still represents Christmas, but doesn't have that normal cliche images and expected color schemes.

Ethel website

Here is one of my newest portfolio pieces. This is the first website I've created and I think it turned out pretty well. There is a new alternative radio station on XM Satellite Radio called Ethel. The station plays lots of good music and there are few interruptions, which is great! This station has turned me on to many cool new bands that I enjoy. They were my main source of inspiration for this website, and I had a great time creating it! I was hoping to be able to show this website to the station, but the day after I finished the project XM Radio and Sirius radio merged. Which means Ethel has turned into Alt Nation (music is the same, just different name). Bummer on having them try to buy the site. Never the less the project is still a success in my eyes. I cannot take credit for the photos used in the design, I did enhance them a bit. The logo, the background, and the layout was all me. So if you happen to need some help designing a website or anything for that matter, don't hesitate to shoot me an email!

A nice rainy day is good for many things! About a month ago I decided to do a little painting for the first time since college. It was actually a lot of fun and very relaxing. I chose to paint a Jellyfish, because they are very weird and beautiful at the same time. Not a bad painting for just picking up the brush again. I made the canvas out of wood and water color paper. Not traditional, I know! I'm definitely inspired to continue painting! So you might see some more paintings soon....

Shawn McDonald poster

I came across this poster that I had in storage and thought I'd share it with everyone. Back in 2005 Shawn McDonald came and played an awesome show at Ogletown.  I was in charge of producing the artwork for the advertising. I think it turned out pretty well. And if I remember correctly, I think I received a few compliments on it from many attenders and I think Shawn himself!....Pretty cool! Check out Shawn Mcdonald

Van Design

Here are the van photos I promised! This is the finished product in action. It turned out real nice!

Recent sermon slides

Here are some more recent examples of my work. I created some slides for Ogletown, for their "Defining Jesus" sermon series. You can listen to this sermon series here.

Charlie Hall and Band

The BSM is hosting a concert for Charlie Hall! I had the privilege to design the promo pieces for the concert. I created the poster and the post cards (2 sides), this project was a lot of fun. I'll have the digital versions up soon. You can check out Charlie Halls music here. I would encourage everyone to go to this concert, it's going to be a great show! The concert is Oct. 8th, at Mitchell Hall on the UD campus, and starts 6 p.m. You can buy tickets here.

BSM Logo

This is a new logo that was created for the Baptist Student Ministry. They needed a new logo for their new website! They used a Clover Site , which was a real cool way for them to reach local college students! My wife, Emily, works for the BSM. She has helped me get a lot of work from the BSM. She graduated for the University of Delaware as a photography major. Check out her amazing photographs!

Impact Florida t-shirt!

My friend Kristen needed a t-shirt for her summer campers in 08. This t-shirt was a lot of fun, I had flexibility with the design and I think it turned out well! Check out Impact Florida  and you just might see people wearing my t-shirt in some pictures.

Ogletown Exchange program

Not to long ago Ogletown opened up a brand new building. They needed a logo, posters, stickers, programs, and slides created to help promote the first service in the new building. So Katie Hall (another local graphic designer) and I were quickly put to work. So here are a few pieces that were put together for the church. The first, is a prayer poster designed so that the Ogletown could print out some concerns that needed some prayer. The next two are rough copies of the programs, sorry I didn't have the final version in a digital file.
